Possible reason why Liverpool could play on after injury time expiry explained — Forest have themselves to blame

Nottingham Forest have plenty of problems with Liverpool's 99th-minute match-winning goal — and one of them is exactly the timing of the goal.

Referee Paul Tierney added eight minutes to the second half, meaning that Liverpool scored after the injury time should've expired.

However, there's a very logical explanation for why the Reds were given more time to attack, and it has to do with Forest's time-wasting attempts.

Two players, Morgan Gibbs-White and Danilo, were booked for time-wasting in the same minute!

Forest are also arguing that Liverpool should not have had the ball in the first play, but Jurgen Klopp has already explained why these complaints are misjudged as well.
