Andy Robertson and four other players miss Liverpool training, at least Nunez all smiles

Liverpool faced some setbacks in the preparations for Monday's match against Aston Villa as Andy Robertson and Diogo Jota were both absent from training on Friday.

Jota, who has been sidelined due to an injury since last month's victory against Fulham, continues to miss training, hinting at his likely absence from the upcoming game at Villa Park.

There are concerns about whether he will recover in time for Jurgen Klopp's final match as Liverpool manager against Wolves next weekend.

Similarly, Robertson was not seen in the latest training pictures, although he was spotted at the AXA Training Centre wearing training gear and conducting media duties alongside Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Since the German did not provide any injury updates during Friday's press conference, the cause of Robertson's absence remains uncertain.

Aside from Robertson and Jota, other players missing from training include Thiago Alcantara, Joel Matip, and Ben Doak, who continue to be sidelined due to long-term injuries.

At least Darwin Nunez was all smiles during the training.
