Man United going one place down: updated Premier League standings

The draw at Bournemouth means Man United have been leapfrogged in the Premier League table by Newcastle.

In an early Saturday game, Eddie Howe's team battered Tottenham 4-0.

They are now level on points with Man United but significantly ahead of them on goal difference which gives them an edge in the table.

The divide between the sixth and seventh place in the table can mean the difference between playing in the Europa League or the Conference League. Even that is not guaranteed for Man United, though, with West Ham just two points behind.
