Jean-Clair Todibo reveals what he learned from Umtiti, two others ahead of potential Barca return

Jean-Clair Todibo says he is open to returning to Barcelona in the future. The Frenchman spent two years at the club, notching four La Liga appearances before ultimately being deemed surplus to requirements.

Now at OGC Nice, he has developed into a world-class defender with many top clubs signalling interest in his services.

"A return to Barcelona? Why not? I don't regret it, not at all," he said. "FC Barcelona is still a great experience.

"I learned a lot from Gerard Piqué, Samuel Umtiti, Clément Lenglet... It did me good. I discovered the very, very high level.

I didn't have the desired minutes because there were very, very big players in front of me. I also had a coach, Ernesto Valverde, who was under pressure, so it was normal for him to put Gerard Piqué instead of an inexperienced 19-year-old."

With Barca aiming to rebuild next season, a player of Todibo calibre won't be a bad idea. However, he won't come cheap as he is tied to Nice contract till 2027.
