Pjanic to Juventus 'highly unlikely' as Bianconeri close Locatelli signing (reliability: 5 stars)

Juventus have reportedly finalized the signing of Sassuolo midfielder Manuel Locatelli. This makes Miralem Pjanic's return to the Bianconeri 'highly unlikely', according to Sky Sport's very reliable Matteo Moretto.

In fact, Pjanic was never close to moving back to Juve, Moretto adds, and Locatelli's transfer only decreases his chances of doing so.

Meanwhile, the Bosnian is said to be one of Barcelona's first names on the transfer list. Ronald Koeman seemingly doesn't count on the 31-year-old as he was left out of the matchday squad for Real Sociedad.

Pjanic's contract at Barca runs until 2024. He is one of the best-paid players at the club.
