Ethan Wheatley honoured to become 250th Academy graduate to play for Man United

Speaking to MUTV on Wednesday, Ethan Wheatley said: "It's a great club with a massive history, especially in the academy.

"It's an honour to make my debut and that number 250. There were a bit of nerves, but as soon as I was stripped and ready to go, I was excited.

"It's not been a bad 24 hours. Bruno Fernandes pulled me to the side and told me I've got nine minutes to try get you a goal."

Wheatley came off the bench against Sheffield United on Wednesday in the final minute of normal time before 9 minutes of stoppage time we added.

With his Old Trafford outing, the 18-year-old forward is the 250th player from Manchester United's Academy to make his official debut for the club.
