Speaking on BBC Sport, Alan Shearer said: "Rasmus Hojlund's all-round game has been excellent. At times, I felt sorry for him because of his transfer fee, the questions that were being asked and how difficult it has been for him.
"This Manchester United team, they have not been creating as many chances as they should have been this season. The one thing that never changed as Hojlund getting into dangerous positions and not being afraid to miss.
"Watch his ability to chase this and understand, to take a chance, gamble and hope that a mistake occurs. There are not many players who would anticipate that and think, 'OK, I'm going to break my neck here to get the ball.'"
Hojlund took his 2023/24 Premier League tally to seven, netting a brace as Man United secured a hard-fought 2–1 win away at Luton on Sunday.
The 21-year-old striker has also become the youngest-ever player in the history of the English top flight to score in six consecutive games.
