'I played against his dad!': Luton boss shares sweet moment with Danns & Klopp

Jayden Danns made his senior debut coming on as a late substitute in the Reds' 4-1 victory against Luton.

Jurgen Klopp gave the 18-year-old his trademark 'bear hug' after the final whistle.

The Hatters boss Rob Edwards approached the Liverpool duo and told Klopp: 'I played against his dad!'. The German burst into laughter.

The Welshman was a centre-back before taking up coaching, playing for Wolves and Blackpool, among others, and earning 15 Wales caps.

Jayden's father Neil was a footballer as well. He was on schooldboy terms with Liverpool and featured for the likes of Birmingham, Crystal Palace and Leicester. He retired last year aged 40 and is now an assistant manager at Tranmere.

"All the sacrifice and hard work lead to this moment, very proud of my grandson making his debut for LFC tonight against Luton," Jayden's grandfather Neil tweeted.
