'Look between 114 and 116': Man City punished by rival fans for being late at the worst trend ever

Anime trends are becoming more and more popular on social media. Some of them can be interesting while others make no sense at all. One thing is clear - it is always a gamble when they reach football.

Manchester City also tried to experiment with trends and decided to take part in the "look between x and y" meme but got quickly punished by the rival fans.

This meme is a phrasal template that originated from a 2021 4chan post about a K-On character, where an anonymous user posted the caption "look between T and O on your'e key bored" to indicate the letters "YUI" on the keyboard, forming the character's name.

In April 2024, the phrase was turned into a snowclone meme on Twitter, where users pointed out letters for the initials of memorable characters' names, celebrities, or public figures, while also creating jokes using the space between the keyboard's letters.

Of course, when fans saw the post on Man City's Twitter page with this trend they used this as an opportunity to troll 'a small club' like Man City. Interestingly, Man City didn't change the original meme as they used it to present the player whose name is also Yui, though, it could be even more embarrassing.

Fans, as expected, started to write about Man City's 115 charges.
