Thomas Tuchel didn't hold back his frustration after his team's Champions League semi-final loss to Real Madrid. Tuchel labelled the late offside call "an absolute disaster," expressing his disappointment with the decision.
Tuchel said: "It was a disaster. An absolute disaster and it’s clear violation of the rules. The clear rule is that the scene must continue. The first mistake was made by the linesman, the second by the referee."
Despite Bayern's efforts and a late surge with a goal from Matthijs de Ligt in the 12th minute of stoppage time, Real Madrid secured their spot in the final with a 4-3 aggregate win, having drawn the Munich tie 2-2.
However, de Ligt's goal was disallowed as the linesman raised his flag before the ball crossed the line, leading to the decision not being reviewed by VAR.
