Liverpool drop out of top 3 Europa League favourites after Atalanta debacle

Following Liverpool's shock 0-3 home defeat against Atalanta, the odds on the UEFA Europa League winner have changed radically.

Less than a month ago, the Reds were firm bookies' favourites to lift the cup: their chances to win the trophy were rated at 1.91 which means a 52.4% probability.

Liverpool have dropped out of the top three favourites and are sharing the fourth spot with Benfica. Both teams' odds are just 11 (9.1% chance).

Meanwhile, Bayer Leverkusen are now the frontrunners following their 2-0 win against West Ham. The odds of Xabi Alonso's team lifting the Europa League cup are now 2.1 or 47.6%.
