Cristiano Ronaldo reacts to his recent outburst in Saudi Arabia, potential punishment revealed

Cristiano Ronaldo had a complete meltdown in Al Nassr's recent clash against Al Hilal, pushing his opponent to the ground and swiping at the referee.

Although the Portuguese sarcastically clapped the referee as he was leaving the pitch, he's reportedly realised he was in the wrong. According to Arriyadiyah, Ronaldo called Saudi Arabia's minister of sports Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal to present his excuses.

That wasn't the first time Ronaldo had landed himself into controversy in Saudi Arabia, so it's yet to be seen whether harsher actions will apply.

The standard procedure for inappropriate behaviour in Saudi Arabian football is a two-match suspension and a €5,000 fine. While the latter is pocket money for the former Ballon d'Or winner, the former could impact his chances of becoming the top scorer in the league. With 29 goals to his name, Ronaldo is leading Aleksandar Mitrovic who has found the target on 22 occasions.
