Araujo: 'No goal-line technology in La Liga ridiculous but we can't use refereeing as excuse'

Barcelona have every right to feel robbed after El Clasico, with a questionable penalty given against them and a Lamine Yamal strike not counted as a goal.

Ronald Araujo insists that, even with the officiating mistakes, the Catalans' performance against Real Madrid wasn't up to a standard.

"We're in one of the best leagues in the world and it's ridiculous that we don't have goal line technology," the defender said post-match.

"We can't use the referees as an excuse. There are details that we missed and we failed again.

"It's been a sad week, but I'm strong mentally. I'm working hard to be that way. That's how I've made it at this club.

"We have to continue fighting. We have to finish second for the Super Cup.
