The sparks are flying early ahead of the Barcelona- PSG Champions League quarterfinal clash, as a Twitter feud between Ligue 1 and Gerard Pique's Kings League has taken center stage on social media.
It all started when the French league's official account decided to take a jab at Barcelona icon, posting a picture of him tugging on Kylian Mbappe's shirt during a previous encounter back in 2021.
"This is how the Kings League started," the caption reads, seemingly hinting at Mbappe ending Pique's professional career.
Not one to shy away, the Kings League admin fired back with a tweet, sharing a picture of the ex-Blaugrana captain boasting four UCL trophies. The response was so sharp, it felt as if Pique himself was behind the keyboard.
If some of you are somehow unaware, the French league only has one UCL trophy to their name and it wasn't even PSG to win it – Marseille did back in 1993, over three decades ago now.
