Newcastle United are interested in signing Andreas Christensen this January, per Football Insider.
The Premier League club have battled with injuries this season leaving them shorthanded in defence hence their interest in Christensen. Also, their manager Eddie Howe is said to be 'a big admirer' of the Danish defender.
Christesen has been underperforming at Barca this season despite featuring in 20 games. The 27-year-old has only helped Xavi's defence keep 7 clean sheets so far.
While his contract is due to expire in 2026, Christensen might be tempted to consider a return to England considering he's lost his regular place in the Barca squad.
Barcelona signed Christensen as a free agent in the summer of 2022 after a successful spell at Chelsea where he won the Champions League and Europa League.
