Premier League club with 2 ex-Barca players wants Alemany as sporting director, his stance revealed

Mateu Alemany has rejected the offer from Aston Villa to become their sporting director, says reliable Luis Rojo.

The Premier League club offered to double Alemany's salary; however, he immediately said 'no'.

Philippe Coutinho and Lucas Digne currently play for Villa. Unai Emery is their head coach.

Alemany joined Barcelona when Joan Laporta was elected as president in 2021. Since then, the Blaugrana official helped the club pull off many complicated deals despite all the financial issues – selling Coutinho to Villa was exactly one of them.
