Cole Palmer surpasses Hazard debut season stat with Burnley brace

Cole Palmer has surpassed one Eden Hazard stat with his brace against Burnley on Saturday.

Palmer now has 21 league goal contributions in his debut Chelsea season, which is one clear of Eden Hazard in 2012/13.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink still tops the debut season charts with 32 goal contributions in 2000/01.

Diego Costa is second with his 23 goal contributions in 2014/15, while Cesc Fabregas had 21 in the same season.

Palmer still has 10 league games to go in the season and if he can get a goal or assist each game, he could get close to Hasselbaink.
