Why was Rüdiger celebrating with chair after the Bayern win? Not only emotions - there's a whole story here

Real Madrid made an incredible comeback in the second leg against Bayern Munich, scoring two goals at the end of the match. The team will now travel to Wembley Stadium in London to play the final, where they will face Borussia Dortmund.

Immediately after the final whistle, a celebration began at the Santiago Bernabeu, with the whole team taking part. Real Madrid's center back Antonio Rudiger was especially emotional, running up to the photographers, taking a plastic chair from them and waving it like a trophy.

This celebration from Antonio is not just emotions. With this gesture, he supported his friend and defense partner, David Alaba, who is currently recovering from an injury and cannot help his team. By the way, it was Alaba who Rüdiger eventually passed the chair to.

Waving a chair is a personal touch of the Austrian. He first did this celebration in March 2022, when Real Madrid defeated PSG in the 1/8 finals of the Champions League.

When journalists asked Alaba what it was, he replied: "It's good to try new celebrations from time to time. The chair was near me at the right moment. I didn't think about anything, and I didn't put anything into it, I just did it because of emotions."

The chair later appeared at the La Liga celebration, as well as after the Champions League final against Liverpool. Now Madrid fans associate this gesture with David.
