Fede Valverde could not finish Real Madrid's 2-0 win against Athletic Bilbao on Sunday after suffering what looked like a minor injury.
"Valverde picked up a knock but it's not a problem," Carlo Ancelotti said after the game.
"We have nine days of rest and everyone will have the chance to recover. He didn't play today with the intensity he usually displays, but it's difficult to play at such a high tempo after the international break," the boss added.
Valverde is expected to recover fully before Real Madrid faces Manchester City in the coming week.
The Uruguay captain has played more minutes and started more games than any Real Madrid player this season with 3284 minutes played accorss 41 games. However, he's only scored one goal this season, plus eight assists.
