5 players who are likely playing their final months for Real Madrid

It's hard to believe, but yet another club football season is coming to a close, with less than three months left on the calendar.

As always, summer brings a time for new arrivals..and departures.

Here are some of the players who could be on their way out of Real Madrid come June.

Kepa Arrizabalaga

The goalkeeper was signed on loan to fill in for the injured Thibaut Courtois at the beginning of the season but ended up losing the no. 1 spot to Andriy Lunin. With the Belgian practically recovered, Kepa is no longer part of the plan and will most likely return to London soon.

Joselu

The Espanyol loanee fit right into the team, becoming one of the most prolific players coming off the bench. With 17 goals/assists in 37 games, Joselu averages a goal contribution every 93 minutes. He would probably continue at Bernabeu, were it not for the imminent arrival of two power strikers.

Nacho

As his deal at Bernabeu expires in three months, El Capitano could leave the club as a free agent. His latest performances are not helping the one-club man's case for a renewal, it must be said.

Ferland Mendy

The left-back is entering the final year of his contract in June, so the club may consider selling him to avoid losing him on a free transfer next year. Especially since talks of signing Alphonso Davies are gaining momentum.

Luka Modric

It's hard to admit, but it's probably Lukita's final season in a Madrid shirt. The midfield maestro has been reduced to a bench role lately – something he doesn't want to put up with.
