Karim Benzema beats one Real Madrid teammate to win Best Foreign Player prize in Ligue 1 awards

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema won the ‘Best Foreign Player’ award in the 2022/23 Trophees UNFP du football ceremony.

In this ceremony, awards are given out to the best performers of a Ligue 1 season and those outside France too.

Benzema :was able to beat out the likes of Eduardo Camavinga, Randal Kolo Muani and Mike Maignan to the trophy.

Kylian Mbappe was named as the best player of the Ligue 1 campaign after helping PSG win the title.

Benzema has enjoyed a prolific season with Real Madrid and helped them win the Copa Del Rey title.

He’s scored 30 goals and provided six assists in 42 appearances across all competitions this season.
