Cristiano Ronaldo wins Euro 2020 Golden Boot despite playing fewer games than Kane & Schick

Cristiano Ronaldo is the top goalscorer of the European Championship.

The Portugal forward has won the competition's Golden Boot award on a tie-breaker of assists over Czech Republic's Patrik Schick.

Cristiano netted 5 goals in just 4 games. His competitors Schick and England's Harry Kane featured in more games: 5 and 7, respectively.

Note that Karim Benzema was just a goal short of matching Ronaldo's record. The Real Madrid striker scored 4 in 4 games.

Curiously, this year saw a record of 11 own goals scored at the competition.
