Gueye explains why his screamer vs Brest is no lucky strike

In the post-match interview after the 4-2 win over Brest, Idrissa Gueye commented on his incredible long-range goal.

"These are strikes that I often work on during individual training. It comes automatically in the game when you are used to doing it in training," the 31-year-old said.

"That's what I did here, it came instantly. I didn't think about it and knocked. Today I have the chance to score.

"Yeah, it's an almost a perfect night. I'm happy to be back after a stint with Covid-19 where I stayed at home without training. It was important today to return to the pitch, to the friends and win that game."

In case you missed it, here's what the goal looked like.

The match against Brest became Gana's first of the season.

After three wins in three matches, Paris Saint-Germain sit in first place in Ligue 1. Next, the Parisians are set to face Reims on August 29.
