There aren’t really many positives to take from Man United's 4-0 defeat to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. The Eagles ran riot over the Red Devils, whose abysmal defending and lack of organization came back to bite them.
With that being said, if one positive performer was to be picked from the game – it would probably be Mason Mount.
The Englishman started his first Premier League game since November, and at least tried to uplift his team’s spirits.
He tried making things happen with progressive passes, but there was just no help around him. Mount also worked really hard and tried his best to help as much as possible defensively.
Mason made two tackles, won 3/5 duels and made six possession recoveries. With Bruno Fernandes recently sustaining an injury, Mount could get more minutes heading into the final stretch of the season and will look to end it strongly, having only scored one goal in his debut campaign at Old Trafford.
