According to the Daily Mirror, Sir Jim Ratcliffe has sought the advice of super agent Jorge Mendes to 'formulate' a vision behind Manchester United's transfer strategy this summer.
Ratcliffe is gearing up for a crucial summer as he now controls football operations at the club since his 27.7% stake got finalised.
Mendes boasts high-profile clients like Cristiano Ronaldo, Jose Mourinho and Darwin Nunez. He has years of experience and Ratcliffe has met with him to seek his guidance.
Ratcliffe is intent on purchasing raw talent instead of over-spending on big names - a good approach when compared to Man United's haphazardness in the past.
Mendes' knowledge of talent at younger levels would come in handy as Ratcliffe draws up a list of targets.
Meanwhile, technical director Jason Wilcox and CEO Omar Berrada are also expected to be involved this season. The Red Devils are still waiting to finalise the appointment of Dan Ashworth as the new sporting director.
