Bruno Fernandes 'insisted' on playing after suffering broken hand in FA Cup semi-final

Bruno Fernandes is proving his quality as an admirable Man United captain by playing through pain to help his side win matches.

According to The Times, the Portuguese midfielder actually broke his right hand after a fall in the win over Coventry City in the FA Cup semi-final.

Despite that, he refused to be rested and insisted on playing on against Sheffield United – where he scored a brace and produced an assist in the 4-2 win.

It’s because of his issue with the right hand that the area of his body was heavily taped up during the game.

Fernandes is quite adamant about helping his side finish the 2023/24 season strongly and wants to play every minute of every game.

He has scored 15 goals and provided 11 assists across all competitions so far in this campaign, the highest for any Man United player.
