'We can play outstanding football': Erik ten Hag defends Chelsea horror show

"It's definitely a setback," said Erik ten Hag in his post-match interview after the unbelievable 4-3 defeat to Chelsea.

"But now we have to deal with this, to get up again and we will do.

"We are resilient. You have seen today how resilient we are, how we returned in the game, the quality of our football, how we can play outstanding football in moments, some really high [moments].

"But football is about results and you have to bring it over the time."

Dropping points from a winning game twice in a row doesn't bode well for Ten Hag, whose future is as uncertain as ever right now.

Manchester United gave away their lead to draw 1-1 with Brentford last week; this time, they went one step further by allowing Chelsea to get a huge win.

The Red Devils could not have asked for worse form before facing Liverpool next in the Premier League.
