Man United are facing a shortage of centre-back options after it was confirmed that Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof are both out for a month.
Raphael Varane also suffered an injury in the recent draw against Brentford, but apparently it isn’t as bad as his teammates'.
As per the Manchester Evening News, the Frenchman is now rather hopeful that he’ll be deemed fit enough to play against Chelsea.
Even though Varane wasn’t spotted in Man United’s training session on Tuesday (April 2), he is optimistic about regaining fitness for the trip to Stamford Bridge.
Erik ten Hag will definitely hope that his experienced centre-back can regain full fitness because as of now, Harry Maguire is the only fully-fit centre-back available.
Varane has suffered from over 10 cases of injuries since joining Man United, but has actually only missed four games due to injury this season.
