Man United produced a really poor performance in their 1-1 draw against Brentford, returning from the international break in the worst possible way.
This has caused some fans to call Erik ten Hag to perhaps drop both Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford in the upcoming few matches.
This comes after Mason Mount produced a stellar super-sub display against Brentford and with the likes of Amad Diallo and Antony impressing in recent matches.
With that being said, here we look at some hypothetical situations of how the Red Devils’ can look like if Rashford and Bruno are benched.
Option 1: Mount as no.10?
An ideal like-for-like replacement for Bruno will be Mount, who can easily operate in that no.10 role and add a different creative threat from there too.
Alejandro Garnacho is the ideal person to replace Marcus Rashford on the left, while Antony can be tried on that right wing if needed in this kind of a situation.
Option 2: Amad Diallo gets his big break
Amad Diallo missed the Brentford game because he was suspended, but he is available for the key April matches. After his heroics against Liverpool, a lot of fans want him to start games and be given the opportunity to excel.
Amad’s best role is as a right-winger and he can easily play there if Garnacho is moved to the left, hence adding a lot of pace and trickery to the Red Devils’ forward line going forward.
