Gareth Southgate was recently a surprising attendant at Sir Dave Brailsford’s 60th birthday party last week.
Brailsford, who is currently working on behalf of Ineos is organizing the changes at Man United, also invited a number of other football-related people.
As per Manchester Evening News, Southgate’s presence at the party didn’t surprise many at Old Trafford because his association with Brailsford is not a secret.
This birthday party was described as a friendly get-together and Brailsford has known the England manager for quite some time – with both working at the top sporting level in England.
The likes of Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger were also invited to the party as Brailsford aims to keep improving his knowledge about top-level football.
Southgate has recently been linked as Ineos’ no.1 pick to potentially become the next Man United manager, but the Englishman has personally canned these rumours by reaffirming his loyalty to the Three Lions.
