When asked about what lies in the future of Mason Greenwood after his loan spell at Getafe expires, Jorge Bordalas said: “We don’t know.
“In the end his club has to decide, the intentions they have with the footballer. From there we will also know the boy’s intentions for his future. But I can’t tell you.
“We are happy with his behaviour, his performance and well, now we only think about the next game, which is the game against Sevilla.”
The La Liga side are reportedly ready to sign Greenwood permanently next season, but can face major obstacles in turning that dream into a reality.
That is because a number of clubs, like Barcelona and Juventus, have had a rumoured interest in Greenwood and Man United are also yet to make a concrete final decision on what to do with him.
The 22-year-old has made 25 appearances in La Liga for Getafe so far this season, scoring five goals and providing six assists.
