Speaking about what truly irked him about Man United’s performance in the 1-1 draw against Brentford, ex-Red Devil Dion Dublin said: “As an ex-United player, what’s hurting me most is the reaction to when they lose the ball.
“When they lose the ball it’s very much an, “Ah, my team-mate will get it back!”, and it’s not good enough. I don’t care who you’re playing for, whether you’re United or Brentford… if you lose the ball, you get it back. I’ve not seen that from Manchester United and it’s disappointing to see.”
There isn’t really much debating this because there was a sense of laziness and sloppiness in Man United’s performance against the Bees at their home ground.
Thomas Frank’s side were clearly hungrier to get the win and bombarded Erik ten Hag’s side with constant attacking moves, while the Red Devils were barely able to create major chances.
With some big games ahead in April, Man United will need to significantly improve their performances to end the 2023/24 season strongly.
