Spotted: Gareth Southgate attends Sir Dave Brailsford's birthday bash

As per The Telegraph, Gareth Southgate was recently spotted in attendance at Sir Dave Brailsford's 60th birthday bash.

The England boss was joined by a list of esteemed guests, including Sir Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger and Roy Hodgson.

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino, Dan Ashworth and Brentford’s Thomas Frank were also present at the event.

The Telegraph understands informal football matters were discussed, which is interesting as both Ashworth and Southgate have been linked to Manchester United.

In his capacity as INEOS director, Brailsford has a key role in the club in the Sir Jim Ratcliffe era.

Ashworth, who has previously worked with Southgate, is being lined up for the sporting director role while the England boss has been linked with replacing Erik ten Hag.
