Kobbie Mainoo earns praise from eight teammates after making England debut

Kobbie Mainoo made his England debut at the age of 18 when he came on in their 1-0 defeat to Brazil on Saturday (March 23).

The Man United midfielder only got to play for the last 15 minutes or so, but maintained a 100% passing accuracy for over 20 passes.

After making his national team debut, Mainoo opened up on his pride and wrote on his Instagram: “Special feeling making my senior @England debut at Wembley and in front of my family. A moment I will never forget. Now we bounce back and refocus for Tuesday.”

The teenage sensation earned praise from many of his Man United and England teammates, including the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire, Declan Rice and Cole Palmer.

They all congratulated him for the impressive achievement and also tipped him to get many more England appearances under his belt going forward.

Mainoo’s former Man United teammates like Anthony Elanga and Teden Mengi also had a lot of praise for the midfielder.

Kobbie will now aim for his first start for England when they face Belgium on Tuesday (March 26).
