Amad Diallo spectacularly seized his opportunity to score an incredible late winner in Man United’s 4-3 win over Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-final.
Unfortunately, the Ivorian winger was given a second yellow card for his decision to take off his shirt and celebrate with his teammates.
Normally, a two-yellow card-driven red card results in a one-match suspension for the player. However, this doesn’t necessarily need to continue in the FA Cup itself.
As confirmed by BBC’s Simon Stone, Amad will be forced to miss Man United’s upcoming Premier League clash against Brentford rather than the FA Cup semi-final against Coventry City.
That means he has a chance to play at Wembley for the Red Devils on April 20/21, and will need to perform at a high level to earn a starting role in that team.
