Man United unlikely to get INEOS discount for Jean-Clair Todibo, grow concerns over major price-tag (reliability: 4 stars)

Man United have been long-term admirers of OGC Nice centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo and have been linked with him in recent transfer windows.

As per CBS Sports’ Ben Jacobs, the Red Devils might experience issues in getting an economic deal for the Frenchman in the summer.

Even though Nice are owned by Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s Ineos, there will be no major discounts made when it comes to a possible transfer involving Todibo.

The Ligue 1 club are likely to ask for a fee in the range of £47m-£51m for the centre-back’s sale, something which concerns the Red Devils.

Man United are prioritizing the signing of a new centre-back this summer after experiencing major issues in that position because of constant injuries.

Todibo has been one of the best defenders in Ligue 1 this season, helping Nice keep 12 clean sheets in 21 appearances so far.
