According to The Sun, Mason Greenwood has requested the Spanish Football Association to drop their investigation into Jude Bellingham.
The Real Madrid midfielder landed in hot water when he was spotted calling Greenwood a rapist during a La Liga clash with Getafe.
The Manchester United loanee 'doesn't want' more bad publicity after the rape and assault charges made by his partner. Although the charges were eventually dropped, Mason had to leave Old Trafford on loan.
He's impressed at Getafe since then, scoring seven goals and assisting five more.
The Sun understands Greenwood was disappointed with Bellingham's comment but he wishes to focus on football and doesn't want Bellingham to be punished.
Bellingham would have been banned for at least four games but that may not happen if Greenwood succeeds in halting the investigation.
