Brian Brobbey refuses to rule out Man United transfer after almost joining in 2022

Brian Brobbey was chased by Manchester United after Erik ten Hag first took charge as manager in 2022.

The transfer didn't materialise and Brobbey ended up returning to Ajax. He scored 13 goals in the Eredivisie last season and has already hit 11 this term.

After scoring a brace in Ajax's 4-1 win over RKC Waalwijk, Brobbey was quizzed about the Man United links.

The 21-year-old told Voetbal Primeur: "I don’t know anything to be honest.

"I’ve seen it too, but I’m staying in Amsterdam.

"Whether they [Man United] may come back in the summer? Haha, who knows."

Ten Hag is believed to be the driving force behind Man United's renewed interest in Brobbey. However, it remains to be seen if Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS agree.
