Has Andra Onana really been terrible for Man United so far?

Andre Onana has not made the best start possible at Manchester United this season.

He's been shipping goals at the back and his distribution has been suspect on more than one occasion.

Replacing David De Gea between the sticks was never going to be easy but has Onana really been that bad?

Let's not forget, Man United are in a defensive crisis with all our senior left-backs sidelined. Lisandro Martinez and Aaron Wan-Bissaka - two of our most defensively sound players - are out through injuries.

Despite all that, the MEN has shared some stats that show Onana has not been all that poor.

The Red Devils' 'expected goals against' stands at 12 and we have conceded as many so far. That means we conceded what we were expected to concede, given the circumstances.

Onana has also registered a save percentage of 68.4 per cent. That's neither good nor bad but for context, he's 10th in the list and ahead of the likes of Ederson, Aaron Ramsdale and Nick Pope.
