Rooney appointed Birmingham boss
Wayne Rooney has been officially confirmed as the new Birmingham City manager, signing a three-and-a-half year contact with the Championship side.
The 37-year-old said: "I'm absolutely delighted to be joining Birmingham at such an exciting time. It's very clear that they have a plan and are committed to realising their ambition for the club. We are fully aligned on what is expected. It's a project that gives me a sense of purpose and I can't wait to get started."
