Man United academy defender spotted in first-team training after Licha injury news

Man United academy defender Willy Kambwala has been spotted in first-team training ahead of the Galatasaray game.

The Red Devils will be without Lisandro Martinez, who suffered a relapse to his knee injury and is expected to be sidelined for a further two or three months.

The 19-year-old Kambwala hasn't made his debut for the senior side yet but a Martinez injury has made him closer to that.

Born in Congo, the centre-back is a product of the Sochaux academy. United paid £3.5m for him in 2020, beating Liverpool for his signature.

Kambwala has been a regular starter for the U18 and U21 sides during his time with the Red Devils. Now he's hoping to impress Ten Hag and make his long-awaited maiden senior appearance for United.
