Cristiano Ronaldo scrapes studs into former United teammate's face, somehow avoids red card

Cristiano Ronaldo kicked his former Man United teammate Martin Dubravka in the head during the Slovakia v Portugal European Qualifiers game on Friday.

The Al Nassr forward lunged for a loose ball and caught the Slovak in the head. He immediately apologised but it was clear that Dubravka was in pain.

The Portuguese claimed it was accidental and was shown only a yellow card. Portugal won the game 1-0 thanks to Bruno Fernandes' goal late in the first half.

Dubravka and Ronaldo were teammates for a few months last season, before the Portugal forward departed for Saudi Arabia.
