Reacting to the latest England squad, Mark Goldbridge said: "Probably in the minority but I find it disgusting that Harry Maguire and Kalvin Phillips get picked.
"The have not played a minute this season. The 'they've never let England down' argument is lame considering they've had three months to show ambition.
"They could've gone to another club to actually play. Gareth Southgate has indirectly screwed Manchester United, he should remove his love for Maguire.
"He created this Maguire persona of 'nothing to prove' where he knows he can sit on his a*** and still get picked for England. Absolute disgrace all round!"
Maguire, who is yet to start for Man United this season, has been included in England's latest squad to face Ukraine and Scotland this month.
The centre-back, who had the captain's armband taken away from him earlier this summer, has refused to leave Old Trafford and lower his wages.
