Man United 'ready to accept £95m loss' on three players

Manchester United are prepared to take a substantial hit on three players this summer as they attempt to raise cash in the market.

United are now looking to find buyers for the likes of Harry Maguire, Fred and even Jadon Sancho who has struggled to replicate his glistening form at Borussia Dortmund during his time at Old Trafford.

Maguire cost United a whopping £80million fee in the summer of 2019 when he became the world's most-expensive defender upon arrival from Leicester.

There are suggestions that United would be willing to accept half of that figure now to wave goodbye to their club captain after four underwhelming seasons in Manchester.

Meanwhile, Fred cost United an initial £47m when he signed from Shakhtar Donetsk in the summer of 2021.

United are asking for £20m - currently considered too much by Fulham - and for that reason, the deal is currently blocked.

Signed from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 for £73m, United could allow Sancho to leave for just £45m.

The Red Devils are having to work smartly to remain in compliance with Financial Fair Play regulations and exits will ultimately hold the key for Erik ten Hag in his quest to land his top targets.

Mason Mount is due to arrive in a £60million deal from Chelsea but the Dutchman is also after Andre Onana, a new marquee striker and potentially further defensive reinforcements.
