De Gea moving closer and closer: Premier League Golden Glove standings updated after Wolves win

Man United were able to keep another clean sheet in the Premier League with their 2-0 win over Wolves.

The visitors actually didn’t even have a single shot on target in the whole game, meaning David de Gea didn’t need to make any saves. The Spaniard was able to increase his clean sheet tally for the Premier League season to 16 after the win.

He now has at least three more clean sheets than any other goalkeeper in the league. His closest competitors - Alisson, Nick Pope and Aaron Ramsdale all have 13 clean sheets with just three matches remaining.

That means if De Gea is able to keep a clean sheet from his side’s remaining three league games, he’ll be able to clinch the PL Golden Glove outright.

He has already won the award, but might need to share it with someone else if they reach 16 clean sheets and he’s unable to keep another shut out.

The only other time that the 32-year-old has won a Golden Glove was back in the 2017/18 season.
