Southampton interested in Brandon Williams

According to The Athletic, a tier-one source, Southampton have identified Brandon Williams as one of their few targets to shore up the full-back slots.

The 21-year-old has missed the pre-season tour due to an injury and is likely to be sold or loaned out to a different club before the transfer window ends.

Strakosha set for Brentford move

Brentford are set to sign Thomas Strakosha on free transfer with the player's medical taking place on Monday, as per to Fabrizio Romano, a tier-one source.

The former Lazio goalkeeper was widely expected to join Manchester United but the 27-year-old opted to move to Brentford in order to play first-team football.

Lindelof not worried about Martinez links

In an interview quoted by the Daily Mirror, Victor Lindelof was asked about possibly losing his place if Lisandro Martinez joins from Ajax this summer.

The defender said: "I'm not a nervous person, I'm quite calm. I know what I can do on the pitch, I've been working very hard and that's all I can focus on really."

Rooney's new managerial job

Wayne Rooney is set to take charge of D.C. United after leaving his job at Derby County earlier this summer, according to The Athletic, a tier-one source.
