Class act: Donny van de Beek offered to pay to house Ukrainian refugees

In a recent interview, Everton left-back Vitaliy Mykolenko revealed how the club have supported him following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian has expressed his gratitude for the same and also praised Donny van de Beek for his classy response.

Mykolenko, 22, told the UA Tribuna, quoted by the Daily Mail: "Donny van de Beek, a world-class player, approaches me and says, 'I want to rent a house for people, whether in the Netherlands or in Poland. We will take them from the border, settle them, pay for it.'

"I don't know how to thank these people."

The Manchester United loanee offered to rent a couple of houses to shelter people displaced by the ongoing war in Ukraine.

On a professional front, Van de Beek has played six times in the Premier League for the Toffees this season. He's expected to return to Old Trafford at the end of 2021/22.

Russia is still destroying Ukrainian cities and killing civilians including kids with all the weapons imaginable. We strongly condemn Putin’s genocide and acts of terror against Ukraine.
