Speaking on BBC's Match of the Day, former Tottenham man Jermaine Jenas said: "Everything Mason Greenwood does as a centre-forward is the right way to play the role.
"I love the way he just drops deep and he's never fighting defenders; he's never having to fight people to hold up the ball. He's smart enough to drop off, take it in, keep the ball going, spread it wide.
"Lukasz Fabianski made a great save off Greenwood on Sunday, he whipped in a great ball for Marcus Rashford that he should have done better with.
"The goals are not there yet, but they’re going to come, and Sunday's display at the top end of the pitch I just thought was a real solid centre-forward's display."
Greenwood was Manchester United's best player on the pitch in the first half against West Ham on Sunday, working his socks off and looking threatening in front of goal.
Although the young striker missed a few chances after the break, his display still earned widespread praise including a message of support from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
