Liverpool ‘set price’ for possible Darwin Nunez sale amid Barcelona links (reliability: 3 stars)

Liverpool forward Darwin Nunez is continuously linked to a possible summer move to Barcelona to replace Robert Lewandowski.

As per Spanish outlet Mas Que Pelotas, the Reds are ready to play hardball with the La Liga side for Nunez.

Liverpool are reportedly going to ask for at least €85m to sell the Uruguayan forward. This is actually lower than the €100m which the club spent to sign him from Benfica.

The Reds are doing this knowing Barca are going through a financial crunch. The La Liga side are anyways unlikely to pay this big a fee for one player without ruining their other summer transfer plans.

Nunez has not indicated his desire to leave Anfield. But he has shown signs of frustration with the fans with his recent activity on social media.

The Uruguayan forward has scored 18 goals and provided 13 assists in 52 appearances for Liverpool this season, but is without a goal in the last six league games.
