According to The Times, Liverpool are preparing to shift away from the traditional British football club structure, as the man in charge of the team will no longer be called manager.
Instead, Arne Slot will be appointed as head coach, meaning that he won't have as much of a say in transfer dealings as Jurgen Klopp has had.
Slot is perfectly happy with the arrangement: he's been working in that model throughout his career in the Netherlands.
He will focus on coaching the team, working under sporting director Richard Hughes, while both of them will be overseen by Michael Edwards as chief executive of football.
Liverpool hope the new structure will empower the head coach and give him more support to do his job, relieving him of some responsibilities off the training pitch.
